The Merrimack River Watershed Council is currently recruiting new Board members for 3+ open positions. Board members are volunteers with the time to actively engage in the oversight of our environmental nonprofit, the only regional nonprofit for the Merrimack River. Board members use their passion and professional expertise to advance our mission to protect and improve the river for people and wildlife, and to help people enjoy the Merrimack River. We are seeking diverse people with prior nonprofit Board of Directors experience from MA or NH.
Recently retired individuals or those who can make the time are preferred.
We are currently seeking individuals with expertise in fundraising, legal, or community/business engagement, including business owners or former business owners; members who are financially savvy and business oriented.
What is the expectation of Board members? We are a working Board. Board members attend a monthly meeting, participate in committees, and help with fundraising. This is a three-year commitment. Preference will be given to individuals living in or working in the Merrimack watershed with 5 or more years of experience.
To apply, send your resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org soon as possible or call 978-655-4742.
