The Impacts of the Recent Executive Orders on Nonprofits
Executive orders (EOs) signed by the President guide federal agencies and have the force of law until they expire, are revoked, or are nullified in court. Only a sitting President can rescind them. They are not legislation, so Congress cannot overturn them, though it can pass laws that influence their effects. After taking office, President Trump signed numerous EOs on various issues.
