Experiencing Food Insecurity?

via State Senator Barry Finegold

If you or someone you know are facing food insecurity, or increased food insecurity as a result of COVID-19, please contact Project Bread's FoodSource Hotline at (800) 645-8333 for assistance. The COVID-19 pandemic is increasing food insecurity and negatively impacting individuals who already face food insecurity in their daily lives. For those who stay home to care for themselves or a family member who is sick or under quarantine, it becomes difficult to afford food due to a loss of wages. For individuals utilizing SNAP, it's difficult to stock up on necessities due to maximum benefit limits. And for children who depend on school meals for their nutrition, school closures decreases access to healthy meals. The state and federal government is working to respond to these issues with legislation, but in the meantime, please know that Project Bread's FoodSource Hotline will remain open through the duration of the State of Emergency to provide support and resources to constituents in need.
